// About

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Richard van der Put and I am from The Hague, The Netherlands. My whole life I have have always been interested in martial arts of all kind. This means training on the most simple way you can think of with my big brother when we were little kids. while in latter periods of my life I (again with my big brother Rafael) watched all kung fu movies I could get my hands on.

On the age of 14/15  I bought a boxing bag to put in the garage of my parents. This was just for physical fitness. One day, my granddad had sent a big box of books from which I got to choose a book to read. I still don’t know why, but for some reason I was drawn to a book with around the 1200 pages. This book wrote of the life of Japan’s most legendary samurai, Myamoto Musashi and was written by the Japanese writer Josjikawa. If you haven’t read it, i suggest you do!

This was the start of the building of my philosophy and an increase of my interest in martial arts. However, I always trained by myself and with my friends and brothers. until one day, I received a movie of Ramon Dekkers. I was amazed by such skills. From that day on, I started training thaiboxing and even though I never believed in committing to one single style, I was sure that this was what I desired to learn more than other styles.

In the years following I joined a gym and traveled to other gyms and countries to train and gain experience and knowledge. Now I am traveling to Thailand to learn more and become more skilled in Muay Thai. This has always been my dream!

I am not a novice in the art of thai boxing, but I know my journey to improve will never end, nor it will not in other fields of my life.

I decided to start this website for all the people who want to learn, not only Muay Thai, but join me as I develop to a different person. Some say that to travel the world is the best way to learn and develop oneself. Only time will tell if this is true. I am so excited to start this journey and I promise you that I will if you join me, you will never regret it! So, join now and learn all you ever wanted to know about the gyms in Thailand, the secrets why Thai are among the best fighters around and much, much more!Me in action
